Etymology 1[edit]
From Proto-Finnic *looko, borrowed from Proto-Germanic [Term?], whence Icelandic slægja and dialectal Swedish slog.

- hay that is cut and left on the ground to dry
- Harjanteiksi haravoitua luokoa kutsutaan "karheeksi".
- Cut hay that has been raked into ridges is called "windrow".
