palkki
- A beam (long piece of timber, metal or concrete used in construction as horizontal support).
- A horizontal bar on top or bottom of a newspaper page or article, television screen etc.
- (music) A beam (horizontal bar which connects the stems of two or more notes to group them and to indicate metric value).
- (heraldry) A bend (strip from dexter chief (upper right corner) to sinister base of the shield). A strip from sinister chief to dexter base is called vastapalkki.
