    (superscript ⟨ᶲ⟩) [ɸ]-fricated release of a plosive, sometimes implying an affricate; [ɸ]-coloring, or a weak, fleeting or epenthetic [ɸ]. A "whistled" sibilant in the case of Shona /sᶲ/.
