Etymology
[edit]Learned borrowing from French aérodrome from ἀήρ (aḗr, “air”), αερο- (aero-) + δρόμος (drómos, “track”).[1][2] Different sense of the ancient ἀεροδρόμος (aerodrómos, “traversing the air”).
