[edit]From verb ενοικιάζω (enoikiázo, “I rent”), ενοικιασ- + -τής (-tís). Also Medieval Greek νοικιαστής (noikiastḗs), and see Ancient Greek ἐνοίκιος (enoíkios, “in the house”) & ἔνοικος (énoikos).
