From *iŋgə + *-ĺə. The и- (i-) stem may be from Proto-Uralic *e- (this) (compare e- in Finnish ennen (before)). Likely cognate with Erzya икеле (ikeľe). (This etymology is missing or incomplete. Please add to it, or discuss it at the Etymology scriptorium.)
