Etymology[edit]

Blend of Кремль ‎(Kremlʹ, Kremlin) +‎ блядь ‎(bljadʹ, whore (vulgar)). First used by a rock group "Телевизор ‎(Televizor)" (Televízor) (i. e. "TV set") in a song called "Заколоти́те подва́л" (Board up the basement).
