      Va-tillaqáḥ Estér el ha-mélekh Aḥashverósh el beit malkhutó ba-ḥódesh ha-'asirí hu ḥódesh Ṭevét bi-shnat shéva' l-malkhutó.
      So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.

      Rosh Ḥódesh Ṭevét she-ḥal lihyót ba-shabbat — m'vi'ín shalósh torót, v-qorín ba-hen eḥád b-'inyanó shel yom, v-eḥád bi-d-rosh ḥódesh, v-eḥád ba-ḥanuká.
      When the new moon of Tevet falls on a Sabbath, they take out three Torah scrolls, and read from them: one for the daily reading, and one for the new moon, and one for Chanukah.
