נָהַג • (nahág) third-singular masculine past (pa'al construction) (transitive)

1. to do something out of habit or custom
   • a. 217 C.E., Mishnah, Bava Batra 1:1:

     מָקוֹם שֶׁנָּהֲגוּ לִבְנוֹת גָּוִיל גָּזִית כְּפִיסִין לְבֵנִים בּוֹנִים הַכֹּל כְּמִנְהַג הַמְּדִינָה

     [In] a place where the custom is to build [with] rough stone, smooth stone, half-bricks, or bricks, they build [with these materials], all is according to the custom of the land.

2. to be customary
3. to behave (in a particular way)
4. to lead, guide (an animal, a tour group, etc.)
5. to lead, guide (a company, a generation, etc.)
6. to drive (a vehicle)
