- ʔanā ʔafṣaḥu l-ʕarabi bayda ʔannī min qurayšin wanašaʔtu fī banī saʕdin
- My speech is the most clear among Arabs, for I'm from Quraysh and I grew up in Bani Sa'd.

- naḥnu l-ʔāḵirūna s-sābiqūna yawma l-qiyāmati bayda ʔannahum ʔūtū l-kitāba min qablinā waʔūtīnāhu min baʕdihim
- We are the latter, but the day of resurrection we will be first, even though they received the Scripture before us, and we received it after them.
