The latter component is from Proto-Iranian *raun(a)- (direction, yearning), from Proto-Iranian *hraw- (to stream, flow), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *sraw- (to stream), from Proto-Indo-European *srew- (to stream, flow).[1]
