   • c. 1599, Bahāʾ al‐Dīn ʿĀmilī, کشکول‎^[1]:

     زمانی بعد، این همه بگذاشت و پرهیز و گوشه گیری و عبادت پیشه کرد. مدتی را در دمشق بماند و در آن جا احیاء العلوم را برشته ی تحریر آورد.

     zamānē ba'd, īn hama bugzāšt u purhēz u gōša gīrī u ibādat pēša kard. muddatē rā dar dimašq bimānd u dar ān jā ihyā'u-l-ulūm rā ba rašta-yi tahrīr āward.

     Some time later, he put all this aside and chose asceticism, seclusion, and worship as his profession. He stayed for a while in Damascus, and composed the Revival of the Sciences there.
