Borrowed from Arabic فِقْرَة (fiqra, vertebra; paragraph).

Noun[edit]

فقره (fıkra) (plural فقرات (fıkarat))

  1. vertebra, any of the bony or cartilaginous segments which make up the backbone
    Synonyms: صرت كمیكی (sırt kemiğı), مهره (mühre)
  2. paragraph, a passage in text that starts on a new line, marking a change of topic
  3. anecdote, a short account of a real incident or person, often humorous or interesting
