قَرْيَة

From the root ق ر ي (q-r-y). Cognate with Hebrew קִרְיָה (kiryá), Classical Syriac ܩܪܝܬܐ (qərīṯā), Ugaritic 𐎖𐎗𐎊𐎚 (qryt), Phoenician 𐤒𐤀𐤓𐤕 (trʾq, qʾrt, city).
