لا ناقة له فيه ولا جمل

Etymology

Literally, “he has neither a female nor a male camel in it”. Attributed to a 6th-century conflict in the Arabian peninsula known as the Basus War.

Phrase

لَا ناقةَ لَهُ فِيهِ وَلَا جَمَلَ • (lā nāqata lahu fīhi walā jamala)

1. (idiomatic) having no connection or benefit to it, it does not concern him; he is not affected by it; he is indifferent about it
