Arabic[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Apparently derived from the active participle of نَعَمَ (naʿama, “to live in comfort, to be pleased, to enjoy”) and نَعِمَ (naʿima, “to live in comfort, to be pleased, to enjoy”), from the root ن ع م (n-ʿ-m).
Pronunciation[edit]
Adjective[edit]
نَاعِم • (nāʿim) (feminine نَاعِمَة (nāʿima), masculine plural نَاعِمُونَ (nāʿimūna), feminine plural نَاعِمَات (nāʿimāt) or نَوَاعِمُ (nawāʿimu), elative أَنْعَم (ʾanʿam))
