Usage notes

[edit]
  • Unlike its standard counterpart مثل (misl-i / mesl-e), واری is used after the noun. So آدم واری (ādam wārē, like a human) would be equivalent to formal Persian مثل آدم (misl-i ādam / mesl-e âdam). It may also be used in combination with مثل (misl-i / mesl-e) on both sides of the noun.
