Etymology
From Proto-Iranian [Term?] (compare Avestan 𐬰𐬁𐬥𐬎 (zānu)), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *ȷ́ʰánuš (compare Sanskrit हनु (hánu)), from Proto-Indo-European *ǵénus (“chin, jaw, cheek”).
