Etymology[edit]

Inherited from Proto-Turkic *yumuru (round), from *yum- (round); cognate with Azerbaijani yumru, Bashkir йомро (yomro), Kazakh жұмыр (jūmyr), Kyrgyz жумуру (jumuru) and Turkmen ýumry.
