Marathi

Etymology

From Old Marathi 𑘏𑘜𑘜𑘹 (khaṇaṇe), from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 307: Parameter 2 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "pmh" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E., from Sanskrit खनति (khanati), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *kánati (to dig). Cognate with Konkani खण्चे (khaṇce) and Persian کندن (kandan).
