[edit]Borrowed from Classical Persian درست (durust), from Middle Persian drw(y)st' (/druyist/), ultimately from Proto-Indo-Iranian *dʰruwás. Doublet of ध्रुव (dhruv). Compare Bengali দুরস্ত (durosto), Gujarati દુરસ્ત (durast), Marathi दुरुस्त (durusta), Punjabi ਦਰੁਸਤ (darusat) / دَرُست (darust).
