Etymology

From Old Marathi बहिणी (bahiṇī), from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 2 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "pmh" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E. ,from Sanskrit भगिनी (bhaginī). Cognate to Konkani भैण (bhaiṇ).
