Etymology
Borrowed from Sanskrit मधु (mádhu) with the deletion of the final vowel[1], from Proto-Indo-Iranian *mádʰu, from Proto-Indo-European *médʰu (“honey, wine”). Compare Old Marathi 𑘦𑘟𑘳 (madu), Lua error in Module:parameters at line 276: Parameter 1 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "pmh" is not valid.
