See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E., from Proto-Indo-Aryan *ráźʰati (“to remain, stay”) (related to रहस् (rahas, “isolation”), रहस्य (rahasya, “secret”), रहायते (rahāyate, “to be lonely”)). Cognate with Punjabi ਰਹਿਣਾ (rahiṇā), Nepali रहनु (rahanu), Gujarati રહેવું (rahevũ), Marathi राहणे (rāhṇe), Assamese ৰোৱা (rüa).
