Cognate to Telugu అగప (agapa), Kannada ಅಗಪೆ (agape) and Malayalam അകപ്പാൻ (akappāṉ).

  1. paddle, ladle
    சட்டியில் இருப்பதுதான் அகப்பையில் வரும்.
    caṭṭiyil iruppatutāṉ akappaiyil varum.

  2. (historical) a long serving spoon made of coconut shell for the scoop and wood for the handle.
