- (transitive) to stick, patch, bind (like glue)
- (intransitive) to stick, cling to
- எண்ணெய் ஒட்டாது. ― eṇṇey oṭṭātu. ― Oil won't stick.
- to accompany, go along with
- to be used to the full extent
- உணவை மென்று சாப்பிட்டால் தான் உடம்பில் ஒட்டும்.
- uṇavai meṉṟu cāppiṭṭāl tāṉ uṭampil oṭṭum.
- Food sticks (all the nutrition from the food is absorbed) to the body only if it is chewed and eaten.
