Neuter substantive of ἀσῠ́νδετος (asúndetos, unconnected, loose), from ἀ- (a-, not) +‎ σῠ́νδετος (súndetos, bound hand and foot; united), from συνδέω (sundéō, bind together), from σῠν- (sun-, together) +‎ δέω (déō, bind).
