Compound of (o, honorific prefix) +‎ 好み (konomi, preference, the 連用形 (ren'ōkei, continuative or stem form) of verb 好む konomu, “to like, to prefer”) +‎ 焼き (yaki, grilling, frying, roasting, the 連用形 (ren'ōkei, continuative or stem form) of verb 焼く yaku, “to grill, to fry, to roast”).[1][2][3][4] Literally “grilling to your liking”.
