  1. A jamo (letter) of the alphabet of the Korean writing system, hangeul.
In North Korea, ㅉ is called 된지읒 (doenjieut), "strong ㅈ (jieut)" and is the ninteenth jamo. In South Korea, it is called 쌍지읒 (ssangjieut), "doubled ㅈ (jieut)" and is the fourteenth jamo.
