Noun
(deprecated template usage) 鑌鐵
- (archaic) A type of refined iron, which was known for its hardness. It was often used in the making of sword blades.
Usage notes
鑌鐵 was probably a type of carbon steel. Some have claimed that 鑌鐵 was actually Damascus steel (Wootz steel), however there is insufficient archaeological evidence to support this.
