Etymology

From Sino-Korean 세월 (歲月, sewol, “time and tide”) and native Korean 사람 기다려 주지 않는다 (eun sarameul gidaryeo juji anneunda, “does not wait for no man”), a native translation of 세월부대인 (歲月不待人, sewolbudaein), as versed by the Chinese poet (deprecated template usage) 陶淵明 (Tao Yuanming).
