Korean[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Univerbation of (han, one) +‎ (nat, piece) +‎ (-do, even).

Adverb[edit]

하낱도 (hanatdo)

  1. (Gyeongsang, with a negated sentence) even a little
    하낱도 부꾸럽다. (Gyeongsang dialect, Changwon)
    Hanatdo an bukkureopda.
It's not even a little shameful.

Usage notes[edit]

  • Speakers of other dialects often think this is a dialectal form of 하나 (hana-do, even one; even a little), but 하나 (hana-do) and 하낱도 (hanatdo) are both used in Gyeongsang and the two have separate etymologies.
