Suffix

-δε (-de)

  1. Added to a noun, usually in the accusative case, to form an adverb of motion towards: to, for ...; ...-wards
    Ἀθῆναι (Athênai, Athens) + ‎-δε (-de) → ‎Ἀθήναζε (Athḗnaze, to Athens)
    φυγή (phugḗ, flight) + ‎-δε (-de) → ‎φύγᾰδε (phúgade, to flight)
  2. Added to demonstratives to form proximal demonstratives
    (ho, the) + ‎-δε (-de) → ‎ὅδε (hóde, this here)

Usage notes

When following -ς, the resulting -σδε may be respelled -ζε.
