Etymology
From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *teḱs-, *teḱ- (“to weave, braid, add, establish, construct”). Cognate with Latin texō (“weave, braid, build, compose”), Ancient Greek τίκτω (tíktō), τέχνη (tékhnē), τέκτων (téktōn).
