     この巻(まき)七(しち)の歌(うた)も古(ふる)い調(ちょう)子(し)のものだから、どちらかが原(げん)歌(か)で他(ほか)は少(すこ)し変(へん)化(か)したものであろう。

     Kono maki shichi no uta mo furui chōshi no mono da kara, dochira ka ga genka de hoka wa sukoshi henka shita mono de arō.

     As this poem in scroll 7 also features an old style, one of the two must be the original and the other a slight variation.
