Borrowed from Sinhalese එළු (eḷu), හෙළු (heḷu), from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 360: Parameter 2 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "inc-pra" is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF. (compare Pali sīhala), from Sanskrit सिंहल (siṃhala, literally lionlike), from सिंह (siṃha, lion) +‎ -ल (-la). Doublet of Ceylon and Sinhala.
