Etymology
Semi-learned borrowing from Sanskrit लोक (loká), via Old Hindi लोग (loga), from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 360: Parameter 2 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "psu" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E..
Use as a plural marker in some dialects is probably generalization of हम लोग (ham log, “us”).
