From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Latin Artaxerxēs, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek Ἀρταξέρξης (Artaxérxēs), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old Persian 𐎠𐎼𐎫𐎧𐏁𐏂𐎠 (Artaxšaça, “whose rule is through truth”). Akin to Old Armenian Արտաշէս (Artašēs) and Persian اردشیر (Ardašir).
