Blanketeer (plural Blanketeers)

  1. (historical) A protester taking part in the Blanket March, a demonstration organized in Manchester, England in March 1817, mainly by Lancashire weavers, with the intention of marching to London to petition the Prince Regent over the desperate state of the textile industry in Lancashire, and to protest over the recent suspension of the Habeas Corpus Act.
