- El is NOT a portuguese article. It doesn't even exists in portuguese. If someone could fix it, it would be great. In fact, el is a spanish word, and the only portuguese word of 'el' is 'o'. Thank you. Oh, and also, hua also doesn't exists and huma e hum are old forms of uma and um. We don't write these words with h anymore. There's 20 years or so we've abandoned the 'h' for many words. ***
