Category:Requests for etymology (English) to Category:English entries needing etymology[edit]

Category:Requests for pronunciation (English) to Category:English entries needing pronunciation[edit]

Category:Requests for audio pronunciation (English) to Category:English entries needing audio pronunciation[edit]

Category:English requests for quotation to Category:English entries needing quotation[edit]

Category:Translations to be checked (Dutch) to Category:Dutch translations needing verification[edit]

And likewise for other languages. The requests categories are rather inconsistently named, so this is my attempt to make them more consistent. I'm not sure what to do about Category:Translation requests (Dutch). Category:Dutch entries needing translation is misleading as it's actually the English entries that have translations. It could alternatively be Category:Terms needing Dutch translation, but then the name doesn't start with the language name anymore, which is not as convenient from a technical point of view. —CodeCat 17:17, 13 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'll oppose Category:Dutch translations needing verification because the term verification is usually used for our WT:RFV process but that's not what it's about at all. -- Liliana 17:44, 13 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
I did consider "needing checking" but that sounds more awkward. —CodeCat 17:51, 13 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Support all but the translations one. Not because of the word "verification" (although I'm against that too), but because it can be mistaken for a category for Dutch entries, rather than translations at English entries. --WikiTiki89 18:00, 13 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Well, we also have Category:Russian translations lacking transliteration and Category:Russian terms with incomplete gender. {{t}} adds entries to both of those. —CodeCat 18:08, 13 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
I've done them now, but I wonder what should be done with the translations category. —CodeCat 21:31, 30 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Entirely unnecessary renames. --Dan Polansky (talk) 18:23, 14 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
