Kornblum-DeLaMare rearrangement (plural Kornblum-DeLaMare rearrangements)

  1. A rearrangement reaction in which a primary or secondary organic peroxide is converted to the corresponding ketone and alcohol under base catalysis; used as a tool in organic synthesis and in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins.
