From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek Παλλάς (Pallás) and the related Πάλλας (Pállas), derived from πάλλειν (pállein, “to brandish”), present active infinitive of πάλλω (pállō, “to poise, sway, or swing”). [1].
