Etymology[edit]
From being a building in Russia having a white exterior. From Russian Белый дом (Belyj dom, “White House”) (This etymology is missing or incomplete. Please add to it, or discuss it at the Etymology scriptorium. Particularly: “Surely the name is rather an analogy to the USA's White House?”)
