Mongolian pronunciation of Russian loan words

There were fixedly accented non-weakened vowels for loan stresses in Mongolian, such as /VCa/ or /VCi/, which correspondingly in ‘unstressed’ native words, they’ve already made change to /VCə/. This kind of ‘strength’ or sometimes length, reflects a vowel’s pre-borrowing stress in Mongolian. Personally I was not approved for the stress marker as it was used in Russian. I thought there were only accents but not phonemic stresses in the language. LibCae (talk) 20:42, 28 January 2020 (UTC)

@Octahedron80, LibCae: Thank you both. It's OK to use the explicit stress mark I guess. If accents were used, like "диноза́вр", they don't have to show in the header or the respelling, they could be hidden from the user but it adds the complexity of syllable boundaries. --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 21:26, 28 January 2020 (UTC)

As you can see from videos such as this or this, the colloquial pronunciation adapted to the Mongolian phonological system is /tintsawər/, but there are other realizations as is common with learned borrowings.

Here you can hear /dajnazaur/ under English influence. But in general, both stress and /z/ are very much foreign to the Mongolian language. Crom daba (talk) 16:53, 8 February 2020 (UTC)
