@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89, Wanjuscha, Per utramque cavernam, Guldrelokk I suspect this is SOP. Comments? Benwing2 (talk) 17:22, 9 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Yes, this is. Guldrelokk (talk) 17:23, 9 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Benwing2: Based on drinking water, not an SoP but it didn't go through an RFD process. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 09:32, 10 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

питьева́я вода́ (pitʹjevája vodá)

@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89, Wanjuscha, Per utramque cavernam, Guldrelokk SOP, Just means "potable water". Guldrelokk agrees. Atitarev thinks maybe it's non-SOP base on its definition of drinking water, which is defined in English as a phrase, but I think it's SOP in Russian because "питьевой" means "potable" and "питьевая вода" just means "potable water", exactly as expected. IMO, "drinking water" is barely non-SOP in English; it does basically just mean "water for drinking", and the only arguably non-SOP-ness about it is that it might be interpreted as "water meant for drinking at the table" or something instead of "potable water", but I don't think that ambiguity exists in Russian. I think we can keep it if [[drinking water]] is kept, delete otherwise. No strong opinion. I see no difference in these two as for their SoP'ness. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 10:25, 11 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
