Some sources (e.g. EIEC:89) list this as an Iranian cognate (the only one!) of Balto-Slavic *galsas (Slavic *golsъ) and Germanic *kalzōną but this stinks too much of Russian голос (golos). --Ivan Štambuk (talk) 03:22, 30 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
