@Vahagn Petrosyan, the term is most certainly borrowed from *fragaHwah, and several sources support a phonetic recontraction or a liquid metathesized /fargāw/. from which the Old Armenian is thought to be borrowed. --{{victar|talk}} 21:07, 13 July 2024 (UTC)

- Surely explaining it as an unexpected borrowing outcome is more likely then presuming a whole new prefix. --

Anyway, the wording can remain as it is now until we figure out what is going on. PS. If you are working on all reflexes of the root *gaw-, don't forget օգն (ōgn) and օգուտ (ōgut).
