@Barytonesis: No I'm not sure at all. I actually have no idea what led me to believe the second alpha is long. The cites at LSJ all seem to be prose, and mostly late, anyway, so I don't think the vowel length is even knowable. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 08:26, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
