Ditto Shinji's comment. I've only encountered short-form フラグ (furagu) in computing contexts. Long-form フラッグ (furaggu) with the gemination is what I'm used to seeing for the "national symbol" sense, but then the terms (hata) or 国旗 (kokki) are more common. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 18:05, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
